Six Morning Bible Studies
Sunrise on the Mountain
A choice of early morning Bible studies with a style to suit everyone. Based within the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5-7) Each study has a different emphasis and/or degree of energy required. So pick the one which best suits your experience, desire for challenge and degree of motivation first thing in the morning!
Ben Nevis – traditional solid inductive Bible study, requires some effort but is the foundation of good lifelong practices in Bible interpretation. This is a good session for those wishing to learn or develop solid Bible study techniques. Led by Elaine Duncan
Cairngorm – a challenge and only for experienced practitioners. Uphill exegesis all the way, this is a study intended for those who want to dig deeper into the Bible and don’t mind the effort involved. Led by Agnes Brough
Arthurs Seat – a gentle climb through the passage with signposts and a footpath to follow. This study will be led by an experienced guide and is best suited to those who are new to Bible study or wake up slowly in the morning. Led by Pam Fulton
Cuillin – a series of peaks to scale with a fresh perspective round every corner, this session will result in a birds‐eye overview of Matt 5‐7 and might present some surprises along the way. Led by Vanessa Parr
Ochils – a peaceful ramble into un‐chartered territory, using Lectio Divina, an ancient meditative study aid, as your tool. Although a gentle journey this Bible study may reach into the depths of your soul. Led by Marianne Anker-Petersen
Campsie Fells – a gentle stroll, with friends in tow, plenty time for conversation and exploring each other’s ideas, this study is geared for those who like to learn in the company of others. Led by Jenny Stirling
